Relax in the peaceful nature of the Rhön biosphere reserve in our lovingly restored barn flat. This unique accommodation is available to you all to yourself, as if it were a detached house.
We offer a practical storage room for bicycle enthusiasts. You can also enjoy our bee meadow garden, which invites you to linger outdoors - accessible with a short walk around the barn. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking or mountain biking directly from your doorstep. The barn flat has a separate entrance.
Furniture
This charming and newly built holiday apartment was built in a carefully renovated 110 year old barn. It offers you a cozy living ambience on the lower floor on 50 m2. In addition, there is the developed and well-insulated loft, so that a total of 4 people can feel comfortable in the apartment. It includes a total of three rooms: an inviting eat-in kitchen (approx. 26m2) with a spacious kitchenette, extendable dining table and a cozy sofa corner, as well as a cozy bedroom (approx. 14m2, bed 180 x 200cm). The second bedroom can be reached via a library ladder. For this purpose, the loft was expanded. (Floor area 25m2, low ceiling height 1.60m at the highest point, bed 160 x 200cm).
On the lower floor there is the bright bathroom with daylight (approx. 7 m2). A small, open storage room offers further storage options for the kitchen.
The floor in the kitchen-living room and bedroom is covered with solid wood floorboards made from Rhön oak. There is a cork floor in the loft. This gives the apartment a warm, inviting feel. From the lower bedroom you have a very nice view over the village and the valley. The barn's original beams were integrated into the apartment as visible elements, creating a unique charm. The furnishings combine traditional Rhön farm furniture with modern accents (carpentry), creating an atmosphere in which old and new blend harmoniously.
The furnishings of our flat ensure that every guest, whether for a short or longer stay, feels at home. We offer you a variety of amenities for a comfortable stay:
- Kitchen/living room: Fully equipped kitchen for self-catering with fridge, basic cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, oven, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and an extendable dining table with enough space for 4 people. The modern living room couch can be pulled out for sleeping.
- Around the accommodation: Private entrance for undisturbed privacy.
- Outside: Private small garden area and barbecue facilities are located 15 metres around the barn. There is also a storage room for bicycles, motorbike, prams, barbecue, garden furniture etc.
- Parking and access: Parking on the street.
- Services: Pets are welcome, luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures is available.
- Internet and office: WLAN and a workstation are available.
- Bathroom: Equipped with hairdryer, cleaning products and a romantic view over the village and the valley.
- 1st bedroom basement and laundry: Comfortable basic equipment with towels, bed linen, soap, toilet paper, hangers and wardrobe. The bedroom can be darkened for a restful night's sleep. The bed measures 180 x 200cm.
- 2nd bedroom attic: the bed measures 160 x 200cm. Clothes can be stored in a basket carrier. Desserts, chair, small farm table and CD radio complete the equipment.
- Entertainment: Relax with TV with streaming services, DVD player, Bluetooth sound system and a selection of books and reading material.
- For families: A baby cot and free-standing high chair are available on request.
- Comfort: The flat is equipped with central heating and is fitted with a smoke detector and fire extinguisher for your safety. The charging station for electric cars can be used on request.
